WGarstang Country Hotel Wedding

Last night we were booked by Siobhan and Colin for their wedding at Garstang Country Hotel in Preston.

It was a big wedding, over 200 guests and we knew it was going to be great night the minute we started the disco.

Half of the wedding guests were Northern and Irish (Siobhan’s family) the other half travelled up from Cambridge (Colin’s family). We had strict orders from the bride to show the southerners how to party!

We started the night with some classic Motown songs that had the dance floor alive before the bride and groom’s first dance.

At 8:30 we invited the guests around the dance floor to join the bride and groom as they cut their cake and prepared for their first dance.

A popular choice, “All of me” by John Legend started the live music as we performed their choice of first dance song.

Moments later, Joining Siobhan and Colin on the dance floor were Siobhan’s parents and the rest of their party.

After finishing the first dance, I quickly jumped from behind the piano as we kicked in to our first of two dance sets. Starting with the Irish legend, Van Morrison and Brown Eyed Girl.

During our break we continued the disco and moved onto our Irish section. The party really came alive as everyone joined the Irish half of on the dancefloor for a good ole jig to classics such as, The Wild Rover, Whiskey in the Jar, I’ll tell me Ma and many more!

After the buffet was served and finished we then kicked off with our 2nd set. Our opener of Proud Mary never fails to get everyone back up dancing!

We had a fantastic time performing for Siobhan, Colin and their families. A lovely couple and a group of people who know how to party! Just how like it.

We wish them all the best for the future!
